Laser-Run

Laser-run is a hybrid athletic event combining running and laser-pistol shooting, developed by the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne as a standalone sport and as a component of modern pentathlon. Competitors alternate between running set distances and shooting at targets with a laser pistol (a safer, non-lethal substitute for traditional air pistols), needing to hit targets accurately to minimize time penalties before continuing. It appeals to modern pentathletes and newcomers alike as an accessible, fast-paced test of both cardiovascular endurance and precision under pressure.
