Marn Grook
Marn Grook is a traditional ball game played by Aboriginal Australian communities in southeastern Australia, involving kicking and catching a ball made from possum skin. Played long before European colonization, it emphasized high leaping to catch the ball ('marking') and running with it. Some historians believe it may have influenced the development of Australian rules football, though the extent of that connection is debated.
