Idiotarod

The Idiotarod is a satirical, unsanctioned urban race in which teams push or pull decorated, costumed shopping carts through city streets, often incorporating pit-stop challenges, group costumes, and a party atmosphere rather than serious competition. It began in the 1990s as a tongue-in-cheek parody of the Iditarod sled dog race and has since spread to multiple cities as a quirky group recreational event.
