Hound Trailing

Hound trailing is a traditional sport from the English Lake District in which hounds are released to follow an aniseed-and-paraffin scent trail laid across the countryside, racing to be first back to the finish. Spectators and owners follow the races much like horse racing, with betting and local pride tied to favored hounds.
