Frisbee

A frisbee is a concave plastic disc, typically around 20-25 cm in diameter, thrown and caught by hand for recreation and organized sports, invented and trademarked by Wham-O in the 1950s (with "Frisbee" now used generically for flying discs). It is used in numerous games including ultimate (a team sport), disc golf, freestyle disc, and simple backyard catch, relying on its aerodynamic shape to generate lift and stable flight. Its low cost and versatility have made it a staple of parks, beaches, and campuses worldwide.
