F-Class

F-Class is a long-range precision rifle shooting discipline in which competitors fire at targets from distances typically between 300 and 1,000 yards using rifles fitted with telescopic sights and supported by a bipod or rest. It was developed in Canada in the 1990s by Farquharson ("F" for its originator) as a way to make long-range target shooting accessible to shooters with physical limitations who could not get into a traditional prone sling position. It appeals to marksmanship enthusiasts who enjoy the technical challenge of reading wind and mirage over extreme distances.
