Cuju

An ancient Chinese ball game dating back over 2,000 years, widely regarded as one of the earliest known precursors to modern football (soccer). Players kicked a leather ball stuffed with feathers or hair through an opening in a net without using their hands, and it was practiced both as military training and as popular entertainment.
