Corkball

Corkball is a bat-and-ball game similar to baseball, traditionally played with a small cork-centered ball and a thin bat on a compact field, often requiring only a pitcher, catcher, and batter per side due to its small playing area. It originated in St. Louis, Missouri, in the early 20th century as a way for factory and city dwellers to play a baseball-like game in tight urban spaces. It remains a niche but enduring pastime with organized leagues in the St. Louis area.
