Cestoball

Cestoball is a team sport related to basketball and netball, invented in the early 20th century in Argentina and Uruguay, in which players use a racquet-like scoop called a cesta to catch and throw a ball rather than handling it directly. Two teams try to score by throwing the ball into an elevated hoop-shaped basket at each end of the court. It has historically been especially popular among women in South America and is recognized as a competitive sport in regional physical education and athletic federations.
