Canyoning

Canyoning, the term more commonly used in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, refers to the same activity as canyoneering: descending canyons by hiking, climbing, rappelling, jumping, sliding, and swimming through narrow gorges and waterfalls. It is popular in mountainous regions like the Alps and Pyrenees, often pursued with a guide due to the technical rope work and water hazards involved. Enthusiasts are drawn to the adrenaline and the striking, secluded landscapes only reachable this way.
