Boston Game

Historically, 'Boston' refers to a trick-taking card game descended from whist that was popular in America and Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, involving bidding on the number of tricks a player expects to take. It also lent its name to a variant billiards game, and both versions appealed to players who enjoyed strategic, competitive parlor games.
