Backgammon

Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games, played by two players who race their fifteen checkers around a 24-point board toward home while trying to block or hit their opponent's pieces. Moves are determined by rolling two dice, blending luck with strategic decisions about risk and positioning, and a doubling cube allows players to raise the stakes mid-game. It remains popular in cafes and clubs across the Middle East and Mediterranean, as well as in competitive tournament play worldwide.
