Atya Patya

Atya patya (also spelled Atya-Patya) is a traditional South Asian tag-based team sport, particularly popular in India and Pakistan, played on a court divided into rectangular sections. Attacking players try to run past defenders stationed on the dividing lines without being tagged, requiring speed, agility, and quick reflexes, similar in spirit to games like kabaddi. It is a low-cost, minimal-equipment game traditionally played in rural and school settings, and is recognized as a national sport of India alongside kabaddi and kho-kho.
