Getting started

Set up your profile

Photo, location, about section, social links, and portfolio links.

Updated July 30, 2026

Your profile is your public page on Career App — it's what connections, employers, and search engines see (you control how much).

The basics

  1. Open Edit profile.
  2. Upload a photo, set your location (start typing a city, or use the locate button to pick the nearest one), and write a short About me.
  3. Add social links (LinkedIn, GitHub, and more) — they appear as icons under your photo.
  4. Add portfolio links — personal site, portfolio, anything you want visible on your profile.

Then build out your career

Add roles, education, skills, and hobbies from your profile — each section has its own add button. Or do it all at once by importing your resume.

Still stuck? A person will read it — promise.
