Workplace Health and Safety

Legal and Compliance

Workplace health and safety (also called occupational health and safety, or OHS) involves the policies, regulations, and practices aimed at preventing workplace injuries, illnesses, and hazards. Safety officers, HR professionals, and compliance managers conduct risk assessments, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like OSHA (in the US) or equivalent agencies elsewhere. It's especially critical in industries like construction, manufacturing, and healthcare.
