Willpower

Soft Skills and Communication

Willpower is the psychological capacity for self-control, enabling a person to resist short-term temptations or impulses in favor of long-term goals, such as maintaining discipline in work habits, diet, or exercise. It is studied in psychology as a limited but trainable resource that can be depleted through overuse (a phenomenon called ego depletion) and strengthened through practice and habit formation. In professional contexts, strong willpower is associated with perseverance, focus, and resistance to procrastination.
