VMware Virtualization
Cloud Computing and DevOps
VMware virtualization refers to the broader set of technologies from VMware that let a single physical machine run multiple isolated virtual machines, each with its own operating system, by abstracting hardware resources through a hypervisor. It's used by IT departments and cloud providers to consolidate servers, improve utilization, and simplify disaster recovery and provisioning. VMware pioneered much of the modern x86 virtualization industry starting in the late 1990s.
