VBScript

Programming Languages

VBScript is a lightweight scripting language developed by Microsoft, derived from Visual Basic, primarily used for automating tasks in Windows environments and, historically, for client-side web scripting in Internet Explorer. System administrators have used it for writing login scripts and administrative automation through Windows Script Host. Microsoft has been phasing out VBScript in favor of PowerShell and modern JavaScript, with plans to remove it from Windows entirely.
