Turkish Language

Languages

Turkish is the official language of Turkey and Northern Cyprus, spoken by roughly 80 million people, and belongs to the Turkic language family with agglutinative grammar built from suffixes and vowel harmony rules. It's written in a Latin-based alphabet since Atatürk's 1928 language reform and is useful for business, travel, and cultural engagement across Turkey and Turkic-speaking communities in Europe and Central Asia. Learners often find its regular, rule-based grammar approachable despite its unfamiliar sentence structure for Indo-European speakers.
