Synthesizer

Music and Audio Production

A synthesizer is an electronic musical instrument that generates audio signals through methods like subtractive, additive, FM, or wavetable synthesis, allowing musicians to create sounds ranging from realistic instrument emulations to entirely new timbres. Musicians, producers, and sound designers use synthesizers in genres spanning electronic, pop, film scoring, and experimental music. Both hardware units (like the Moog or Prophet series) and software plugins are common in modern music production.
