Statistical Sampling

Data Science, Analytics and AI/ML

Statistical sampling is the process of selecting a subset of individuals or observations from a larger population to estimate characteristics of the whole, using methods like random sampling, stratified sampling, or cluster sampling. It is used by researchers, auditors, and pollsters to make cost-effective and timely inferences without needing to survey or measure an entire population. Proper sampling design is essential to minimize bias and ensure results are representative.
