Sass/SCSS

Web Development

Sass/SCSS refers to the Sass CSS preprocessor and its SCSS (Sassy CSS) syntax, which is the more commonly used syntax because it closely mirrors standard CSS while adding features like variables, nesting, mixins, and inheritance. Front-end developers use SCSS to write more organized, DRY (don't repeat yourself) stylesheets that compile down to regular CSS for browsers. It is widely used in web development frameworks and design systems to manage complex styling at scale.
