SAP OS/DB Migration is the process of moving an SAP system from one operating system and/or database platform to another—for example, migrating from Oracle to SAP HANA or from Unix to Linux—typically using SAP's standard export/import tools and methodology. It is performed by SAP Basis administrators and technical consultants during infrastructure modernization or database consolidation projects, often as part of an S/4HANA migration.
