Rugby

Other

Rugby is a full-contact team sport, played in two main codes (rugby union and rugby league), in which players carry, pass, or kick an oval ball to score points by grounding it in the opposing team's goal area (a "try") or kicking it through goalposts. It requires a blend of strength, endurance, tactical awareness, and teamwork, and is especially popular in the UK, Ireland, France, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Enthusiasts are drawn to its physical intensity, camaraderie, and strong club and international competition traditions like the Six Nations and Rugby World Cup.
