Proxy Servers

IT Infrastructure and Networking

A proxy server is an intermediary system that relays requests between a client and other servers, used to enforce access control, cache content, filter traffic, or mask the client's IP address. Network administrators and security professionals configure proxies for purposes like corporate content filtering, load balancing, anonymized browsing, or bypassing geographic restrictions.
