Process capability is a statistical measure, often expressed as indices like Cp and Cpk, used to determine how well a manufacturing or business process's output falls within specified tolerance limits or customer requirements. Quality engineers and Six Sigma practitioners use process capability analysis to assess whether a process is consistent enough to reliably meet specifications.
