Markov Model

Data Science, Analytics and AI/ML

A Markov model is a statistical model describing a system that transitions between states, where the probability of the next state depends only on the current state and not on the sequence of prior events (the Markov property). Variants like Hidden Markov Models and Markov Chains are used in fields such as speech recognition, natural language processing, finance, and bioinformatics. Data scientists and machine learning engineers use these models to analyze sequential or time-series data and predict future states.
