Kalman Filter
Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Environmental)
The Kalman Filter is a recursive mathematical algorithm that estimates the state of a dynamic system from a series of noisy, incomplete measurements over time. It's widely used by engineers in GPS navigation, robotics, aerospace guidance systems, and autonomous vehicles to fuse sensor data and produce smoother, more accurate estimates than raw readings alone. It works by alternating between predicting the next state and correcting that prediction with new measurement data.
