Hyperledger Fabric is an open-source, permissioned blockchain framework hosted by the Linux Foundation, designed for enterprise use cases like supply chain tracking, trade finance, and healthcare data sharing. Unlike public blockchains, it allows known, vetted participants and supports pluggable consensus mechanisms and modular architecture. Enterprise developers and consortiums use it to build private distributed ledger applications with configurable privacy and permissioning.
