Gujarati is an Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken in the Indian state of Gujarat, as well as by large diaspora communities in the UK, US, and elsewhere, with over 55 million native speakers. It is written in its own Gujarati script, derived from Devanagari, and is one of the official languages recognized in India's constitution. People learn or maintain Gujarati for family heritage, cultural connection, or business communication with Gujarati-speaking communities.
