ESP8266
Aviation, Drones and Robotics
The ESP8266 is an inexpensive Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller chip from Espressif Systems, widely used in DIY electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. It predates the more powerful ESP32 and is favored for simple connected applications like sensors, smart switches, and home automation nodes due to its low cost and small footprint. Makers and embedded developers often program it using the Arduino IDE or MicroPython.
