Electric Vehicles

Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Environmental)

Electric vehicles (EVs) are automobiles powered wholly or partly by electric motors drawing energy from rechargeable batteries rather than solely from internal combustion engines. Automotive engineers, battery scientists, and policymakers work on improving EV range, charging infrastructure, and battery technology to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Consumers and companies adopt EVs for lower operating costs and reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to gasoline vehicles.
