Deep Web
Cybersecurity
The deep web refers to the portion of the internet not indexed by standard search engines, including password-protected pages, private databases, academic journals behind paywalls, and internal company intranets. It's distinct from the 'dark web,' a small, intentionally hidden subset that requires special software like Tor to access. Most deep web content is mundane and legitimate, such as email accounts, medical records, and online banking portals.
