CoffeeScript

Programming Languages

CoffeeScript is a programming language that compiles into JavaScript, designed to offer cleaner, more concise syntax inspired by Ruby and Python. It was popular in the early-to-mid 2010s among web developers who wanted to avoid some of JavaScript's verbosity and quirks before ES6 introduced similar syntactic improvements natively. Its usage has declined significantly as modern JavaScript and TypeScript have addressed many of the pain points CoffeeScript aimed to solve.
