Coded UI

Software Development and Engineering Practices

Coded UI Test (CUIT) was a Microsoft automated testing framework, part of Visual Studio, used to write UI-driven functional tests against web and desktop applications by generating C# or VB.NET code from recorded user interactions. QA engineers and developers used it to validate that application UIs behaved correctly across changes. Microsoft has since deprecated Coded UI in favor of tools like Selenium and Playwright.
