Chapel

Programming Languages

Chapel is a parallel programming language developed by Cray Inc. (now part of HPE) designed to simplify writing high-performance computing applications for supercomputers and large-scale clusters. It provides high-level abstractions for parallelism and data distribution while aiming to be as productive as scripting languages like Python. It's used by researchers and engineers in scientific computing who need to write scalable parallel code without managing low-level details of MPI or threading directly.
