Azure Resource Locks

Cloud Computing and DevOps

Azure Resource Locks are a governance feature that lets administrators prevent accidental deletion or modification of critical resources, resource groups, or subscriptions by applying 'CanNotDelete' or 'ReadOnly' locks. They are used by cloud administrators and IT operations teams to protect production environments from unintended changes regardless of a user's normal permission level. Locks apply hierarchically, inheriting down through resource groups to individual resources.
