Acting Audition
Video, Photography and Film Production
An acting audition is a tryout in which performers read from a script, perform a monologue, or improvise in front of casting directors to be considered for a role in a film, TV show, play, or commercial. Actors prepare by rehearsing sides (audition scripts), researching the character and project, and often working with an acting coach beforehand. Success in auditions is a critical skill for building a career in the performing arts.
