Webster Bank, the principal subsidiary of Webster Financial Corporation, is a regional bank founded in 1935 and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, serving Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersey. It offers commercial and consumer banking, and also owns HSA Bank, a major provider of health savings accounts; in February 2026 Banco Santander announced plans to acquire the company, a deal expected to close later in 2026.
