Symbolic Sound Corporation is a small American company, founded in 1985 by Carla Scaletti and Kurt Hebel, that develops Kyma, a hardware and software environment for sound design, live electronic music performance, film/game audio, and scientific data sonification. The company continues to release new generations of its Kyma software and companion audio processing hardware (e.g., the Pacamara Ristretto).
