Springfield Armory, Inc. is an American firearms manufacturer and importer headquartered in Geneseo, Illinois, founded in 1974 by the Reese family. It produces rifles such as the M1A and SAINT line and imports/manufactures pistols including the XD series, Hellcat, and 1911 variants. The company is legally and operationally unrelated to the historic U.S. government Springfield Armory arsenal that operated from 1777 to 1968.
