Southern Bancorp is a community development financial institution and bank holding company headquartered in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, founded in 1986 with backing from then-Governor Bill Clinton and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. Through Southern Bancorp Bank and affiliated nonprofit community-development entities, it provides banking services and community investment focused on the underserved Arkansas and Mississippi Delta regions.
