Snurfer is an American snow-surfing toy brand invented by Sherman Poppen in 1965 in Muskegon, Michigan, widely regarded as a key precursor to the modern snowboard. The brand was revived as Snurfer LLC/Snurfer Boards, which manufactures and sells binding-free snowboard-sleds and returned operations to Muskegon.
