Simpson Investment Company is a privately held, family-owned (Reed family) forest-products holding company based in Seattle, Washington, founded in 1890 by Sol Simpson. Once a major integrated timber, lumber, and pulp/paper operator in the Pacific Northwest and California, it has divested or closed most of its paper and rail operations over the past two decades and now operates primarily through subsidiaries like Simpson Door Company and Simpson Timber Company.
