Scaled Composites, LLC is an aerospace company based in Mojave, California, specializing in the design, prototyping, and flight testing of experimental aircraft and spacecraft using composite materials. Founded by Burt Rutan, it built SpaceShipOne (winner of the Ansari X Prize) and SpaceShipTwo, and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman since 2007.
