Modell's Sporting Goods was a sporting goods retail chain founded in 1889 in Manhattan that operated over 150 stores across the northeastern United States. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed all physical stores in 2020, after which its assets and brand were acquired by Retail Ecommerce Ventures and relaunched as an online-only retailer.
