Memorex is a consumer electronics brand with roots dating to 1961 as a Silicon Valley computer tape and disk-drive manufacturer, famous for its 'Is it live, or is it Memorex?' ad campaign. The original corporation was dismantled after a 1981 Burroughs acquisition, and the brand has since passed through several owners (Tandy, Hanny Holdings, Imation, DPI); it is now owned by Mizari Enterprises and focuses on consumer electronics and OTC health/wellness products.
