Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW) is an investment bank specializing exclusively in the financial services sector, providing research, corporate finance, equity/debt capital markets, and M&A advisory to banks, insurers, REITs, and other financial institutions. Its World Trade Center headquarters was destroyed on September 11, 2001, killing 67 of its 172 New York employees. Stifel Financial Corp. acquired KBW in 2013, and it now operates as a Stifel subsidiary based in New York.
