Originally founded in 1993, it went through several corporate name changes (including Liz Claiborne Inc. and Fifth & Pacific Companies) before being acquired by Coach, Inc. (now Tapestry, Inc.) in 2017. It now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tapestry, Inc.
