What we do
Häagen-Dazs is an American super-premium ice cream brand founded in 1960 by Reuben and Rose Mattus in the Bronx, New York, notable for its invented Danish-sounding name used as a foreign branding strategy. Pillsbury acquired the brand in 1983, and today it is produced and marketed in the U.S. and Canada by Froneri (via its Dreyer's subsidiary), while General Mills holds the brand's international rights.
